John Roberts
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science from University of Queensland and Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management from Charles Sturt University. Career History: John spent the early part of his career in the information management industry, within both the Victorian Local Government and private sectors. Upon completion of a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management in 2008, he commenced work with Market Solutions performing intercept interviews in Victoria’s national parks. In 2009, John commenced full time employment with Market Solutions as a Research Assistant. Experience: With his scientific background, John brings excellent skills in data analysis and written communication to ensure research results are delivered in client friendly terms. Given his most recent educational achievements, John’s primary areas of interest are with society’s views and opinions on matters relating to the management of parks and open spaces, and in particular to public perceptions on policy relating to environmental sustainability. As a research assistant, John has built on his existing abilities developing a wide range of industry specific skills including questionnaire scripting and programming, implementation of field logistics, data coding, and preparation of data files. Personal Attributes: John enjoys working in a team as well as working individually and is able to adapt to new working environments. John demonstrates strong organisational and forward planning skills. His friendly personality allows him to work closely and effectively alongside both field and project management staff to ensure that quality outcomes are achieved.
